In the advent of digitalization, convenience comes with responsibility. At TOP.ph, your security is our top priority. That’s why we’re reminding all users to stay alert and be extra cautious regarding messages, emails, or calls pretending to come from us.
Beware of Impostors
In the last few days, there has been a new modus operandi of fraudsters posing as customer representatives not only of TOP.ph but also other ewallets via:
- SMS or text messages
- Messaging apps (like Messenger, Viber, WhatsApp)
- Emails with suspicious links
- Fake social media accounts
They may ask for your account info, card details, OTP, or passwords. Some even send fake links that look official — but are designed to steal your personal and financial data.
Remember These Safety Rules
TOP.ph will NEVER:
- Ask for your OTP, PIN, or password
- Request your credit/debit card number via text or chat
- Require you to click on suspicious links to “claim rewards” or “verify” your account
- Communicate through personal accounts or third-party agents
Don’t fall for:
- Links that say you won a prize or need to verify payment
- People claiming to “speed up” your cash-ins or card requests
- Messages asking you to “resend” any payment information
What You Should Do
- Only interact with official channels:
TOP.ph app, verified website, and official customer support numbers (02-7777-8949)
- If in doubt, report the message or call us immediately
- Do not share sensitive information, such as your one-time password (OTP) or login credentials.
- Enable notifications for real-time alerts on your transactions
We’re Here to Help
